The aim of the award is to create a platform for the 20 nominated photographers, to offer them visibility and to introduce them to a new network. The ultimate goal is to generate better circumstances for the long-term career of professional photographers. The visual identity creates a podium for the photography. The dynamic identity has multiple uses. It screams for attention when needed, while it sometimes just functions as a background to draw the attention to the photography. Jelle Brandt Corstius (journalist), Aldo van de Broek (painter) and Fabian Hahne (graphic designer / photographer) traveled a more than four thousand kilometers long train track called ‘BAM’ (Baikal Amur Magistrale) through one of the most remote parts of the world. Siberia historically served as a place of forced exile.
